CAD study of a floorstanding speaker

Overview

This concept takes the learning from the 2.1 system into a new floorstanding design aimed at more precise, accurate sound reproduction.

The working direction is to improve transient response with smaller subwoofer drivers and to use drivers with more appropriate Thiele/Small parameters. The enclosure has been designed in Fusion 360 and simulated in WinISD to establish a more informed baseline before construction.

Further iterations will use improved 3D-printing capability for features such as port flaring and decorative parts. This page is intentionally a study rather than a finished claim - a record of the design work in progress.
